Data Escape is built to run entirely on your device. This page explains, plainly, what that means in practice.
Nothing. Data Escape does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, and no in-app purchase. The app does not include any advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking library of any kind.
Your progress — levels cleared, ranks earned, high scores, and your settings — is saved locally on your device only, using Apple's standard local storage APIs. It is never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes this data.
If you choose to submit an Endless mode score to the leaderboard, that score is sent to Apple's Game Center service so it can be shown on the leaderboard. This is entirely optional — the game is fully playable without ever signing in to Game Center — and is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy, not by Data Escape. We never see or store this data ourselves; Apple handles it directly.
The "More Apps" screen looks up a public, non-personalized list of other apps by the same developer, using Apple's public iTunes Lookup API. This request carries no information about you or your device — it is the same request anyone could make from a browser. No third-party ad network is involved.
Data Escape is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children — because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds a feature that touches data — this page will be updated first, with a new "Last updated" date above, before that version ships.
