GifMaker: Video & Photo to GIF — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

GifMaker: Video & Photo to GIF ("GifMaker", "the app") is developed by BMIT MOB, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have.

Summary

Photos, videos and camera

With your permission, the app reads the videos and photos you choose from your library, or captures photos with the camera, so you can turn them into GIFs. Everything is processed locally. GIFs you create are stored in the app on your device and, if you choose, saved to your Photos library. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party unless you share it yourself using the iOS share sheet.

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

We collect anonymous usage events to improve features, pricing and the overall experience. Examples: which input you used (video, photos or camera), which GIF settings you picked (speed, frame rate, size, filter), whether a GIF was created, shared or saved, which share destination was chosen (such as Messages), which subscription screen was viewed and whether a purchase completed. Together with these events, Firebase collects an app instance identifier, device model, OS version, app version, language and an approximate location (country/region) derived from your IP address.

Analytics data is not combined with your name or contact details. It is processed by Google under the Firebase privacy terms.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a crash report (stack trace, device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash and an installation identifier) so we can find and fix the problem.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, approximate location, device information and ad interaction data.

More Apps

The More Apps screen loads the list of our other apps from Apple's public iTunes lookup service. Only your App Store country is sent; nothing about you or your device. Tapping an app opens its App Store page.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple to unlock Pro features. We record purchase events (product purchased, price and currency) in Firebase Analytics to measure which offers work. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
