NetDoctor: WiFi & Network ("NetDoctor", "the app") is developed by BMIT MOB, LLC.
The app does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your network diagnostics, history and device names stay on your iPhone.
To diagnose your connection, the app measures latency to your router and to public internet servers, checks DNS response times (your current DNS server and public resolvers such as Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, Google 8.8.8.8, Quad9 9.9.9.9 and AdGuard), checks for a Wi-Fi sign-in page using captive.apple.com, and runs download/upload speed tests against Cloudflare's public speed servers (speed.cloudflare.com). These services see your public IP address as part of any internet connection, like any website you visit. The app sends no personal information and stores nothing on any server.
The app asks Cloudflare's speed service for your public IP address, internet provider name and approximate city so it can show them in Network Info. This information is displayed on your device and saved only in your local check history.
The More Apps screen loads the list of our other apps from Apple's public iTunes lookup service. Only your App Store country is sent; nothing about you or your network.
If you open Devices, the app uses your local network (with your permission) to find your router and other devices on the same Wi-Fi using ping, TCP connection checks and Bonjour. The device list, names you assign and "new device" memory are stored only on your iPhone.
iOS only reveals the name of your current Wi-Fi network (SSID) to apps that have location permission. The app asks for "While Using" location only when you choose to show the Wi-Fi name. The app never reads, stores or shares your location.
Check history, room results and device names are stored locally on your iPhone and are included in your device backups. You can delete history entries at any time in the app, or delete the app to remove everything.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment information.
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
